A couple welcomed quadruplets four years after having twins and are now rejoicing in the blessing of having seven children.
Kaylee and Gabrielle Smith captured a sweet family photoshoot after all their babies left the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and went home. The photos touched many:
Kaylee and Gabrielle’s family journey has not been easy, but they say having a large family is a true joy.
“Every week is a real struggle, we sleep a little every night, about 2-3 hours. But we know this is just a period. Since we have other children, we know it will be easier. It is a real joy to see how their little characters appear” – they say.
The couple got married in 2015, and received the first news of pregnancy a month after the wedding. Their eldest daughter, Ariella, was born in 2016, and the following year, Kaylee and her husband wanted to have another child.
Since their attempts to get pregnant were not successful, they decided to consult a specialist.
“After a bunch of tests and examinations, we were told that we probably wouldn’t have a second child at all.” But after a month of treatments, we discovered that we are expecting twins” – they say.
After getting used to life as a family of five, in 2021, the parents decided they wanted to have another child. Unable to conceive naturally, they again sought help from a specialist.
“Now they told us that the only hope to have another child is with the help of invitro and egg donor” – they said.
However, they decided to continue hoping for pregnancy only with intrauterine insemination. After many failed attempts and medications, Kaylee and Gabriel discovered that their miracle was on the way.
The four babies were born on July 16 this year in the 31st week of gestation.
“We would like to share our story in the hope that it will be an encouragement to everyone who is facing difficulties,” they say.
