Margot Robbie, an Australian actress and producer, was born on July 2, 1990. Her career began in 2008 on the long-running Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” where she played Donna Freedman until 2011.
After moving to the United States, Robbie starred in the short-lived ABC series “Pan Am” and had her breakout role in Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street,” acting alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 2014, she founded her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, to focus on women-centric projects.
Robbie expanded her film repertoire in 2015 with roles in “Focus” opposite Will Smith, “Suite Française,” and a cameo as herself in “The Big Short.”
Her portrayal of Harley Quinn in the 2016 DC Comics movie “Suicide Squad” skyrocketed her fame, and she produced her first film through LuckyChap, “I, Tonya,” which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
Her continued success in Hollywood included roles in “Peter Rabbit” (2018), “Terminal” (2018), which she also produced, “Mary Queen of Scots” (2018), Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019), “Bombshell” (2019), and “Birds of Prey” (2020), where she reprised her role as Harley Quinn and served as a producer.
Robbie also saw producing success with “Promising Young Woman,” the 2020 black comedy thriller that won Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars and was nominated for Best Picture.
More recently, Robbie played Harley Quinn for the third time in James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” (2021) and starred in David O. Russell’s period mystery “Amsterdam” (2022), Damien Chazelle’s period drama comedy “Babylon” (2022), and Wes Anderson’s “Asteroid City” (2023).
She starred as Barbie alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s film about the famous Mattel doll, a role that further solidified her pop-culture and style icon status.

As a Chanel brand ambassador since 2018, Robbie’s fashion choices during the promotional tour for the blockbuster “Barbie” movie in 2023 cemented her as a style icon.
Robbie, named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in 2017, had previously shown her comedic talent in a memorable cameo in “The Big Short,” explaining subprime mortgages from a bubble bath.
Her influence peaked with the “Barbie” movie, which she starred in and co-produced. Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film grossed over $1 billion worldwide, making it Robbie’s biggest box office hit to date.
You are very beautiful Margot, so beautiful!
