Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin Reportedly End Their Relationship Over Wedding and Family Plans
Actress Dakota Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have reportedly called it quits after dating on and off since 2017.
The breakup comes amid rumors of engagement in 2020 and mounting speculation over their future together.

A source told Page Six that Johnson ended things because she was “sick of him dragging his feet on setting a date for the wedding.”
Another insider revealed that a key issue was Martin’s hesitation to have more children, which added tension to their eight-year on-and-off relationship.
“They really tried to work through their issues,” a source explained, “but the age gap was often a problem, especially since Dakota wants children someday, whereas Chris feels he’s done with that chapter.”
Despite these challenges, both reportedly cherish the memories they’ve shared as a couple.

Interestingly, a Daily Mail source suggested that their relationship had been over “for a long time” but they just hadn’t officially parted ways until now.
Neither Johnson nor Martin has publicly commented on the breakup, but recent interactions suggest they remain amicable.
Notably, Martin recently promoted Johnson’s new film, Materialists, at a concert in Las Vegas, where he appeared to give her a subtle shout-out: “Thank you so much, everybody. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to each other. Don’t forget to see Materialists. We love you,” he said, as captured in a video obtained by DeuxMoi.

While the message was warm, a source close to the situation told People that the split “felt final this time.” The couple was last spotted together in Malibu on May 16.
As fans process the news, both continue to navigate their lives separately, marking the end of this notable Hollywood romance.
