Is Jon Bon Jovi giving love a bad name?
The rocker shared insights into his marriage with Dorothea Hurley while offering advice to his son Jake Bon Jovi and future daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown on “Good Morning America” Thursday.
“The magic for me has just been growing together with Dorothea,” the 62-year-old Grammy winner said, but he admitted that “every day is a challenge and a change.”
Bon Jovi acknowledged that his marriage is a “challenge … every day.” He added, “But if you’re growing together, hopefully things will work out.”
The singer joked that his 21-year-old son and the 20-year-old “Stranger Things” actress probably won’t “listen” to his advice before tying the knot.
The couple started dating in 2021 and got engaged two years later.
As for Bon Jovi‘s own marriage, he met and fell in love with Hurley, 61, in high school, and they eloped in Las Vegas.
Since their 1989 wedding, the musician has navigated “the wonderful clichés of rock stardom” while avoiding “being a fool enough to f–k up the home life.”
He confessed this during an interview with The Independent published Sunday, praising his partner’s “tolerance.”
“[We are] a mutual admiration society and [are] lucky enough to have grown up together,” Bon Jovi said over the weekend.
He notably alluded to past affairs in his 1993 song “Bed of Roses.”
In addition to Jake, the longtime couple are also parents to daughter Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 29, and Romeo, 20.
We think that they are very cute and adorable couple, wish you every luck!
